Primero lo Primero bets on a country where early childhood is a driving force towards inclusion, closing social gaps, and achieving peace. We know that we can’t enact change on our own, this is why we believe in working closely with decision makers, to improve quality of life, development, and protection of Early Childhood in Colombia.
We have recognized the need to articulate different decision-making levels in the context of Early Childhood in Colombia. For this reason, we need to work hand in hand with the institutions and agents through a collaborative approach, establishing scenarios for articulation that allow us to reach the goal of quality care with a comprehensive vision. We acknowledge that public policy and institutional agents focus their efforts on that direction, but we also feel that Primero lo Primero can contribute to this endeavor with a multisectoral and innovation mindset.
This articulation and impact on institutions and decision makers is built on applied research, high quality standards, and innovation. We want decision-making in Colombia to be based on evidence, research, and innovation. Evidence that allows us to identify the highest standards of quality from our social, cultural and territorial contexts. We will commit to making sure boys and girls in Colombia have the same access to high quality comprehensive care.
The Quality Lab is an open innovation initiative that articulates agents and allies in the public and private sector, such as ICBF, ICETEX, Colciencias, ICFES, the Ministry of Education of Colombia, and Primero lo Primero, to join forces for the progressive improvement of quality of life in Early Childhood.
This system promotes collaborative work through research, innovation, capacity building and the consolidation of networks that allow us to gather evidence to enact a systemic change and an impact in early childhood.
Primero lo Primero has been a part of NiñezYa since 2018.
